SARS-CoV-2, also known as COVID19, 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease and Coronavirus is an infectious disease which is a member of the Coronavirus family. 2019-nCoV was first identified in the Wuhan area in late December 2019 and has since spread to 188 countries, with more than 9.5m cases being reported resulting more than 484,000 deaths worldwide. Commonly reported symptoms include fever, cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, and loss of smell and taste. Occasionally, infected individuals can show little to no symptoms, thus making them asymptomatic.
As of 25 June 2020, Aenopia has reported 0 cases of 2019-nCoV. Despite this, cases have been confirmed in the local area surrounding Aenopian territories. Because of the high risk of infection from these areas, the Aenopian Government have declared a National Emergency. It is advised that Aenopian residents retain proper hygiene at all times and only cross the Aenopia-UK border when absolutely necessary. Any suspected cases of 2019-nCoV must be reported to the suitable Aenopian Authority immediately.
It is recommended that you follow the guidelines set for your local area unless you live in the UK or USA, in which case follow Aenopian guidelines. If you believe that you or someone in your household may have 2019-nCoV, self-isolate for 14 days and contact the NHS at 111 if necessary. DO NOT visit your GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
